Aileen Worthley

Whilst researching into different cubist painters, I came across this piece by Aileen Worthley and it is a cubist oil painting done on canvas of cubist style buildings. As soon as I saw this piece, it caught my eye straight away as I love how simple the cubist patterns are in the painting and I really love the variations of tones of the browns and greys. I think the colour scheme of this painting is very strong and I think the tonal colours all work well together. This painting by Worthley has inspired me because it is has made me think and question if I should play around with the colour scheme I am going to use in my painting, because I find these colours more visually interesting for a painting6d4f024186688e4a4e6f8e2ac7cd4d3f
